It is a haven of a variety of biodiversity. Among the exciting activities available to travelers, jeep safaris and canoeing are some. These activities offer a chance to see Bengal tigers, one-horned rhinoceroses, and leopards in their native habitat.

A guided bird-watching trip is available for those who want to observe some of the park's 543 documented bird species.

For a more peaceful experience, visitors can go on guided nature walks with experienced guides who provide insights into the park's unique flora and wildlife, or they can take canoe excursions down the Rapti River, where they can see crocodiles and gharials.

Best Season for Chitwan Jungle Safari Tour

The dry season, which runs from October to March, is the ideal time of year for a Chitwan Jungle Safari Tour. The weather is nice during this time of year, with lower temperatures, making it comfortable to explore the park.

Since animals cluster around water sources, it is more common to see wildlife, and the clear sky makes for great bird-watching and photo possibilities. Reduced greenery also improves visibility, which raises the possibility that you might spot some of the park's rich wildlife, such as Bengal tigers, one-horned rhinoceroses, and other bird species.

Similarly, if you want to experience fewer crowds and lush landscapes, then you should do the 5 days Chitwan Tour from September to May. The weather and crowds are well-balanced during these shoulder months. September marks the beginning of the fall season, while late April or early May can bring the arrival of the monsoon rains. This is the time of year when the park is lush and green, and you can still see a satisfactory diversity of species.

However, the monsoon season, spanning from June to August, is not recommended for the Jungle Safari Tour in Chitwan. Chitwan experiences extreme humidity and heavy rainfall throughout the monsoon season. The rain limits a lot of activities, and certain roads and trails can become inaccessible. The thick undergrowth might make it more difficult to see wildlife.
